FAQs

Yes, while the standard puja covers all nine planets, the acharya can place special emphasis on specific planetary mantras and target homams (offerings) if you have an active adverse Mahadasha or Sade Sati.

Only the primary Yajman (and spouse, if applicable) needs to sit through the core sankalpa and rituals. Other family members can join later for the final aarti and hawan parikrama.

While knowing your specific chart helps the acharya personalize the sankalpa (vow) with your birth details (Gotra, Nakshatra, and Rashi), a general Navagraha Shanti can still be performed for overall family peace and environmental harmony.

The Hawan acts as a spiritual seal; the sacred fire acts as a divine messenger (Agni) carrying the planetary mantras directly to the celestial deities, transforming subtle vibrational intentions into physical cleansing energy for the home.
